Stephen Ardelean is a well respected designer and Michigan business man who founded Distinctive Design in 1982. Steve began specializing in supplying builders with all the necessary trim supplies for his finish carpenters to install in the home.

Supplying and installing all the trim and doors necessary for the job was just the beginning.

It quickly evolved into Distinctive Design's carpenters doing everything needed to give the homeowner their dream home.  If it could be thought of or pulled from a magazine, Distinctive Design could tackle the project. Steve could in-vision the style that the homeowner or builder were looking to get out of their project.  Steve would go to the drawing board and bring them exactly what they were looking for.  At age 67 this is Steves favorite part of his day.  Being able to sit down at his drafting table and give the customer an impressive drawing.  

Distinctive Design's work has been showcased multiple times in the news and has been a part of designing local celebrity's homes.
